Motor vehicle owners holding valid amateur radio station licenses may apply for and annually renew up to four (4) special license plates per amateur radio station license for not more than four (4) vehicles.

The Office of Driver Services may add sequential characters to the amateur station call sign on each additional plate to distinguish multiple plates issued for the same license.

An additional fee of two dollars ($2.00) is charged for each supplemental amateur special license plate issued.

Additional fees collected are deposited into the State Central Services Fund for the Revenue Division of the Department of Finance and Administration as supplemental funds, not counted as direct revenue.

Applicants must provide proof of ownership of an amateur radio station license, comply with state motor vehicle laws, and pay the regular license fee plus the additional two-dollar fee.
