Repeals Arkansas Code § 14-61-118, which governed director resignation requirements for mayoral candidates in cities with directly elected mayors.

Previously allowed sitting board members to run for mayor without resigning during the first mayoral election under the at-large system.

Previously required sitting directors to resign before running for mayor in subsequent elections, unless their director term ended when the new mayor's term began.

Eliminates the provision allowing the remaining board members to appoint a successor to fill an unexpired directoral term when a director resigned to run for mayor.
