County board of election commissioners members must promptly report to the State Board of Election Commissioners any election law violations or irregularities they cause or witness.

County board members must report complaints from the public concerning election law violations or irregularities to the State Board of Election Commissioners.

Public complaints must be reported in writing and include the complaint description, complainant name and contact information (if available), and facts or circumstances associated with the complaint.

The State Board of Election Commissioners shall investigate all reported violations or irregularities.

The State Board of Election Commissioners may sanction violations under existing law and provide assistance or instruction to prevent future violations or irregularities.
