The Senate and House of Representatives of the 90th General Assembly will recess at the close of business on Friday, March 20, 2015, and reconvene on Monday, March 30, 2015.

Arkansas Code § 6-10-106(d) requires all public school districts to schedule five consecutive days of spring break beginning on Monday of the thirty-eighth week of the school year, which is Monday, March 23, 2015, for the 2014-2015 school year.

The recess aligns the legislature's schedule with the designated spring break period for Arkansas public school districts.

Article 5, Section 28, of the Arkansas Constitution permits this recess because it requires concurrent consent from both houses to adjourn for more than three days, which is obtained through this concurrent resolution.
