AR HB1005

Enables annual school elections to be held on either the third Tuesday in September or the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November of each year, giving school districts flexibility in scheduling elections.

Allows school election issues to be printed on the same ballot as the general election ballot when the annual school election is held in November of an even-numbered year.

Establishes that when a school election is held at the same time as the general election, polling sites for the school election shall be the same as polling sites for the general election.

Modifies election notice requirements based on whether the school election is held on a date with other elections; if held with other elections, the county board of election commissioners shall publish notice per § 7-5-206.

Restructures school election expense reimbursement so school districts reimburse counties for election costs, with limitations on reimbursement amounts when school elections are held in conjunction with general elections in even-numbered years.
