Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training may make additional salary payments from available funds to employees with law enforcement certification above the basic certificate level.

Payment eligibility requires sufficient funding independent of other commission programs and discretion of the Director of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.

Annual payment amounts by certification level are: General certificate — $300; Intermediate certificate — $600; Advanced certificate — $900; Senior certificate — $1,200.

Payments may be distributed monthly, quarterly, semiannually, or annually based on funding availability and are restricted to full-time law enforcement officers employed by the commission.

Additional salary payments are considered regular income and subject to all applicable tax withholding requirements.
