AR HB1290

Amends Arkansas Code § 24-7-205(c) to allow the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System to correct errors in member service credit records at any time, removing the standard look-back period limitation.

Permits corrections when an obvious or documented error by an employer or the system has understated a member's service credit, provided all required contributions have been paid.

Maintains existing exceptions allowing corrections for intentional nondisclosure, fraud, misrepresentation, or criminal acts outside the normal look-back period.

Declares an emergency to make the act effective immediately upon Governor approval, or upon expiration of the veto period, or upon veto override.
