AR HB1370

Amends Arkansas Constitution, Amendment 98 (Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2016) to authorize the division to adopt rules governing advertising, marketing, packaging, and promotion of medical marijuana dispensaries and cultivation facilities.

Requires advertising restrictions designed to prevent marketing products in ways that appeal to children, including restrictions on artwork, building signage, and product design such as shapes and flavors.

Mandates child-proof packaging that cannot be opened by a child or prevents ready access to toxic or harmful amounts of the product, meeting testing requirements under 16 C.F.R. § 1700.20 as of January 1, 2017.

Prohibits indoor displays visible from outside dispensaries or cultivation facilities and restricts other forms of marketing related to medical marijuana.
