Appropriates $12,000,000 to the Department of Community Correction from the General Improvement Fund for maintenance, renovation, equipping, construction, acquisition, improvement, upgrade, and repair of real property and facilities.

Department may supplement state funds with grants, donations, and federal funds to cover full project costs, but maintenance and operations funds cannot be diverted for these purposes.

All disbursements must comply with Arkansas State Purchasing Law, General Accounting and Budgetary Procedures Law, Revenue Stabilization Law, and other applicable fiscal control laws.

Funds must be used in accordance with Agency Requests, Executive Recommendations, and Legislative Recommendations documented in budget manuals and Joint Budget Committee meeting minutes.

Effective date of July 1, 2017 declared an emergency to ensure continuous operation of the department's essential governmental programs.
