The Arkansas State Medical Board and Arkansas State Board of Nursing must develop a joint application form for collaborative practice agreements between physicians and advanced practice registered nurses.

The application must include physical practice locations, communication methods between collaborators, names and professional titles, comparable scope of practice and specialty, quality assurance plans, and a copy of the collaborative practice agreement excluding specific protocols.

The application must require certification that patients receive written documentation with contact information for the collaborating physician and emergency care coverage procedures.

Both boards must be notified of material changes to the collaborative practice agreement, practice changes, agreement termination, or changes to application information.

Both boards must develop joint criteria for reviewing licensee compliance with collaborative practice agreement rules and present the rules to the Legislative Council by December 31, 2017.
