AR HB1627

Repeals Arkansas Code §§ 6-18-210 and 6-18-211, which previously required students in grades 9-12 to enroll in at least 350 minutes of planned instructional time daily as a graduation requirement.

Amends attendance record requirements to change language from "visually notes the physical presence" to "attendance" when documenting daily student attendance and absence.

Modifies distance learning program provisions to clarify that students must physically attend school for distance learning courses and state tests/assessments required for those courses.

Eliminates mandatory full-day attendance requirements and associated regulatory provisions that previously allowed for study halls, extracurricular classes, and financial hardship waivers for grades 9-12 students.
