Cosmetological schools and establishments must establish a domestic violence and sexual assault awareness training course

Students enrolled in cosmetology programs must complete a one-hour training course in domestic violence and sexual assault awareness as part of required training hours to be eligible for examination

Students trained in domestic violence and sexual assault awareness are protected from civil or criminal liability for acting in good faith or failing to act on information about potential domestic violence or sexual assault obtained during employment

The Department of Health must approve all training courses and the instructors, schools, institutions, or organizations providing them

The Department of Health must establish rules for verifying student completion of the training course and for implementing the training requirement
