AR HB1835

Amends Arkansas Code § 17-1-107 to establish reduced reinstatement requirements for persons previously licensed in Arkansas who held licenses in good standing and did not have them revoked for bad faith or ethics violations.

Creates new Arkansas Code § 17-1-108 establishing a reciprocity system requiring licensing entities to adopt least restrictive requirements for persons licensed in other states who meet specified criteria including current good standing and sufficient competency.

Requires licensing entities to grant one-year temporary reciprocal licenses to out-of-state licensed professionals upon presentation of evidence of current active licensure in another state.

Prohibits licensing entities from requiring apprenticeship, education, or training prerequisites for persons meeting reciprocity requirements, though continuing education may be required if mandated for all professionals in the field.

Exempts from the reciprocity requirements any professions already covered by existing reciprocity provisions in Arkansas Code sections 17-12-308, 17-26-315, 17-27-308, and others listed in the statute.
