Amends Arkansas Code § 9-12-312(a)(1) to allow courts to deny alimony awards to persons convicted of domestic violence offenses against their spouse.

Courts may consider circumstances and factors contributing to the marriage dissolution, including grounds for divorce and domestic violence convictions, when determining alimony nature, amount, and duration.

Amends Arkansas Code § 9-12-314(a) to allow courts to terminate existing alimony awards if the recipient is subsequently convicted of a domestic violence offense against the payer spouse.

Courts evaluating termination of alimony under the new provision may consider circumstances and factors that contributed to the dissolution of the marriage and any grounds for divorce.
