Department of Arkansas State Police must report to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department the locations of all accidents occurring within the preceding twelve-month period on state highways and local roads that resulted in a human fatality or involved two or more personal injury accidents at the same location.

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department is required to inspect all accident data reported by the Department of Arkansas State Police for locations where fatal accidents occurred or multiple injury accidents happened at the same location.

Inspections must determine whether safety improvements such as increased visibility, warning signs, traffic control devices, or other safety measures are necessary to reduce or prevent similar future accidents at those locations.

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department must develop a schedule for and implement the safety improvements it determines to be necessary based on the accident inspections.
