Employers shall not require, request, suggest, or cause current or prospective employees to disclose usernames and passwords to their social media accounts.

Employers shall not require, request, suggest, or cause employees to add an employer, supervisor, or administrator to their social media account contacts or to change privacy settings.

Employers shall not require current or prospective employees to add another employee, supervisor, or administrator to their social media account contacts.

If an employer inadvertently receives an employee's login information through an employer-provided device or network monitoring program, the employer is not liable but is prohibited from using that information to access the employee's social media account.
