AR HB2269

Amends Arkansas Code § 14-54-104(2) governing powers of first-class cities regarding street management and public property.

Removes language restricting vacation or lease of public streets, sidewalks, alleys, and other public grounds to portions "not for the time being be required for corporate purposes."

Allows cities to repurpose or sell lands that were acquired or donated for objectives that have become impossible or impracticable to achieve.

Authorizes city council to devote such lands to other proper public or corporate purposes or sell them, with proceeds applied to public or corporate purposes.
