Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas was officially designated as a satellite campus of National Park College, allowing students to earn up to 66 hours of college credit and an associate degree by high school graduation at no cost.

College-level faculty teaching concurrent classes at Lakeside High School must have a master's degree in their content area or a master's degree plus 18 graduate hours; the Lakeside School Board agreed to cover teacher expenses for meeting these requirements and received a credential extension through January 2019.

National Park College is the second higher education institution in Arkansas to hold Higher Learning Commission accreditation on a high school campus, with Greenbrier High School (a University of Arkansas at Little Rock satellite) being the first.

The House of Representatives commends the joint efforts of Lakeside High School and National Park College in creating the satellite campus to increase college opportunities for high school students.

The Chief Clerk of the House will provide copies of the resolution to Lakeside High School Superintendent Shawn Cook and National Park College President John Hogan upon adoption.
