U.S. Highway 67 is currently built to interstate standards for approximately 121 miles total, consisting of 102 miles from Interstate 40 in North Little Rock to AR Highway 226, approximately 16 miles from AR Highway 226 to U.S. Highway 63 in Walnut Ridge, and approximately 3 miles from U.S. Highway 63 to U.S. Highway 412 in Walnut Ridge.

House of Representatives requests the United States Government to officially designate U.S. Highway 67 as an interstate highway from Interstate 40 in North Little Rock to U.S. Highway 412 in Walnut Ridge.

Designating U.S. Highway 67 as an interstate highway is expected to promote economic development opportunities and maximize the value of existing highway investments with little or no additional taxpayer dollars.

U.S. Highway 412 is designated by Congress as High Priority Corridor 8 under the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991, and U.S. Highway 63 is designated by the Department of Transportation as part of the Strategic Highway Network.

Upon adoption, the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives shall provide a copy of the resolution to the Arkansas congressional delegation.
