Department of Human Services must establish rules for oversight, accountability, administration, award, and distribution of funds received under the Older Americans Act of 1965 and state funds for related programs.

Department shall provide annual reports to the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs accounting for all Older Americans Act funds received and disbursed.

Department shall annually award funds to one or more eligible entities and may set funding allocations by region based on statistical need and determine distribution methods.

Fund allocations, awards, or distributions by the department may be reviewed by the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs or another appropriate legislative committee prior to the allocation.

Entities receiving funds must submit quarterly reports to the Director of Human Services detailing services rendered, number of individuals served, and moneys expended; entities must be bonded and are liable to the state for any misuse of funds.
