Level II dyslexia screening must be completed consistent with the Arkansas Dyslexia Resource Guide, and students exhibiting dyslexia characteristics shall receive intervention services.

School districts must report to parents by July 15 on the website or in writing the dyslexia intervention programs used, the number of students who received dyslexia intervention, and the total number of students identified with dyslexia during the previous school year.

School districts that fail to comply with dyslexia screening and intervention requirements shall be in violation of the Standards for Accreditation of Arkansas Public Schools and School Districts and may be placed in probationary status.

Districts placed on probationary status must report the reason on their website and by written notification to all parents in the district.

The Department of Education shall enforce the requirements and may promulgate rules to implement the dyslexia screening and intervention provisions.
