Senate and House recognize the need to designate U.S. Highway 67 as an interstate highway from Interstate 40 in North Little Rock to U.S. Highway 412 in Walnut Ridge

U.S. Highway 67 is currently built to interstate standards from Interstate 40 to Walnut Ridge in Lawrence County, plus approximately 3 miles from U.S. Highway 63 to U.S. Highway 412 in Walnut Ridge

Designation as an interstate highway will promote economic development opportunities and maximize the value of existing highway investments with little or no additional taxpayer cost

Request that the United States Government designate U.S. Highway 67 as an interstate highway, with cooperation from the State of Missouri to complete the corridor north to the Arkansas-Missouri border

Secretary of the Senate shall provide a copy of the adopted resolution to the Arkansas congressional delegation
