AR HB1006

Establishes 14 maximum regular employees for the Department of Finance and Administration - Division of Racing for fiscal year 2018-2019, including 1 Racing Commission Director (GS15), 1 Dog Racing Veterinarian (MP04), 1 Horse Racing Supervisor (GS09), 2 Dog Racing Supervisors (GS06), and other support staff positions.

Authorizes up to 31 part-time or temporary "Extra Help" employees, payable from appropriated funds at rates not exceeding the Uniform Classification and Compensation Act, allowed to work over 1,000 hours per year.

Appropriates $1,507,635 from the Miscellaneous Agencies Fund Account for personal services and operating expenses, including $635,816 for regular salaries, $310,000 for extra help, $257,972 for personal services matching, $30,000 for overtime, and $235,847 for operating expenses.

Appropriates an additional $312,111 from state cash funds for operating expenses, including $65,000 for extra help, $231,000 for operating expenses, $5,000 for conferences and travel, and $5,000 for refunds/reimbursements.

Effective July 1, 2018; requires compliance with State Procurement Law, General Accounting and Budgetary Procedures Law, Revenue Stabilization Law, and regulations of the Department of Finance and Administration.
