Senate Bill 27 Summary

• Establishes 12 maximum regular positions for the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission for fiscal year 2018-2019, including 1 director (GS14), 1 administrative services manager (GS10), 1 chief investigator (GS07), 1 executive assistant (GS07), 5 investigators (GS06), 1 fiscal support supervisor (GS06), 1 grants analyst (GS06), and 1 public information specialist (GS06).

• Authorizes up to 2 temporary or part-time employees ("Extra Help") at rates not to exceed those in the Uniform Classification and Compensation Act.

• Appropriates $1,209,852 from the Miscellaneous Agencies Fund Account for personal services and operating expenses, including $503,054 for regular salaries, $40,000 for extra help, $175,892 for personal services matching, $250,000 for operating expenses, $108,000 for conferences and travel, and $132,007 for professional fees.

• Appropriates $170,000 from the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission Trust Fund for operating expenses, including $115,000 for operating expenses and $55,000 for conferences and travel.
