Offenders on probation, parole, or transfer supervision pay a monthly fee of $35.00 to the Department of Community Correction.

Of each $35.00 payment, $25.00 goes to the Community Correction Revolving Fund and $10.00 goes to the Best Practices Fund for evidence-based recidivism reduction programs.

At least 75% of Best Practices Fund money must fund direct services proven to reduce recidivism, with no more than 10% used for staff training in evidence-based practices.

Courts may imprison offenders on probation for nonpayment of supervision fees only if they are financially able to pay and willfully refuse; financial inability is a defense.

Parole Board may imprison offenders on parole for nonpayment only if financially able; Arkansas Code § 19-5-1139 regarding the Best Practices Fund is repealed and consolidated into the amended supervision fee statute.
