Lottery winners who win over $500,000 may request that their identifying records and information remain confidential and exempt from Freedom of Information Act disclosure.

The Office of the Arkansas Lottery must notify winners of prizes exceeding $500,000 of their option to keep their identity confidential.

The confidentiality exemption does not apply to elected public officials who win over $500,000.

The office may publicly disclose the location where a lottery winner purchased their winning ticket, even if the winner's identity is confidential.

Employees of the lottery office and five designated entities (Internal Revenue Service, Arkansas Legislative Audit, Department of Finance and Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Department of Arkansas State Police) have full access to lottery winner records.
