AR HB1453

Creates the Perinatal Palliative Care Information Act as a new subchapter of Arkansas Code Title 20, Chapter 16.

Requires physicians to verbally inform pregnant women about perinatal palliative care services at least 72 hours before performing an abortion when a lethal fetal anomaly has been diagnosed, except in medical emergencies.

Mandates that the Department of Health compile and provide pregnant women with a written list of perinatal palliative care services available in Arkansas and nationally, organized by geographic location.

Requires pregnant women who decline perinatal palliative care services to certify in writing that they decline the services and have received the informational materials.

Establishes that violations of the subchapter constitute unprofessional conduct and can result in revocation of a physician's medical license or denial/revocation of other professional licenses.
