A home-schooled student who has never withdrawn from an Arkansas Activities Association member school may begin participating in interscholastic activities at a private school immediately upon approval.

A home-schooled student who withdrew from an Arkansas Activities Association member school must wait a minimum of 365 days before participating in interscholastic activities at a private school.

For athletic activities, approved home-schooled students must wait 365 days after approval before competing, except students in grade 7 or the lowest grade offered by the private school approved by July 1 of the school year may compete immediately.

Home-schooled students may immediately participate in rehearsals, tryouts, practices, auditions, classes, and other preparatory activities associated with athletic interscholastic activities regardless of the 365-day waiting period.

Non-athletic interscholastic activities (such as academic competitions) allow immediate participation for approved home-schooled students with no waiting period.
