Replaces terminology of "justice" with "circuit court judge, district court judge, or magistrate" to standardize judicial titles throughout the statute.

Modifies duty language from "it shall be" to "is" and updates offense-related terminology from "crime" to "offense" for consistency with modern legal language.

Clarifies that upon filing of written information under oath, the judge or magistrate may issue a warrant for arrest and bring the person before them according to law.
