AR HB1701

Prohibits public school students from being required to pay for individual or group instruction as a condition of participating in extracurricular activities, interscholastic activities, or organized physical activity courses.

Defines "extracurricular activity" as an intraschool activity not included in regular curriculum, including sports and special interest clubs or groups.

Defines "interscholastic activity" as an interschool activity not included in regular curriculum, including sports and special interest clubs or groups subject to Arkansas Activities Association regulations.

Defines "organized physical activity course" as a school course taught by a State Board of Education-licensed or qualified physical education instructor involving skeletal muscle movement and energy expenditure through organized group or class activities.

Became effective April 10, 2019, adding Section 6-16-151 to Arkansas Code Title 6, Chapter 16, Subchapter 1.
