HB1761 - Egg Provider Protection Act

• Creates the "Egg Provider Protection Act" under Arkansas Code Title 20, Chapter 16, establishing regulations for egg harvesting and egg provider protections

• Restricts egg harvesting to licensed physicians in licensed hospital, clinic, or medical facility settings that meet Arkansas Department of Health licensing standards

• Prohibits compensation to egg providers for eggs, successful cycles, or desirable genetic traits; solicitations cannot offer compensation for eggs or egg harvesting

• Requires all solicitations to include summaries of drug or hormone treatments, total office visits required, and intended use of harvested eggs

• Establishes penalties of Class A misdemeanor conviction plus civil fines of $500 minimum or twice the gross pecuniary gain derived from violations, at court discretion
