Arkansas Real Estate Commission must conduct a feasibility study on adding an optional two-year real estate license, with completion and report due to House and Senate State Agencies committees by July 1, 2020.

Brokers and salespersons must complete 6-7 annual classroom hours of continuing education, with at least one hour focusing on personal safety precautions for real estate agents.

Continuing education must include training on current real estate marketing and advertising trends, compliance with state and federal regulations, and updates to contracts and real estate forms.

Commission may promulgate rules effective September 30, 2019 to add additional continuing education hours with no statutory maximum limit.

Post-licensure education requirements must be completed within six months after license issuance, or the license becomes inactive until documentation of completion is provided.
