Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors defeated Pulaski Academy Bruins 52-38 at War Memorial Stadium to win the 2018 Class 5A state football championship with a 13-1 season record.

This was the Warriors football program's first-ever state championship, despite being established in 2004 and appearing in a championship game in 2007, finishing the season ranked No. 4 overall in the state.

Head Coach Eric Cohu, in his second season, was named Hooten's Arkansas Football Farm Bureau Insurance 5A Coach of the Year and achieved his fifth career state championship overall and fourth as a head coach.

KATV Channel 7 ranked the upset as the No. 2 Top Sports Story in 2018, and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ranked the story as the No. 4 Top Story of 2018.

The House of Representatives congratulates the Little Rock Christian Academy football team on winning the championship, with a copy of the resolution to be presented to the Head of School and Head Football Coach.
