• Declares March 15, 2019, as the American Legion's birthday in Arkansas and urges all citizens to observe with pride and due ceremony all Legionnaires in the state.

• Recognizes the American Legion Department of Arkansas as the first incorporated American Legion Department in the United States, established on May 12, 1919.

• Acknowledges the American Legion's founding on March 15, 1919, in Paris, France, and its congressional charter on September 16, 1919, as a veterans organization based on four pillars: Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children and Youth.

• Honors the sacrifices and contributions of Legionnaires and their families in defending freedom and democracy while supporting veterans, service members, youth, and communities nationwide.

• Directs the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Major Keith Dover of the Arkansas American Legion Department upon adoption.
