Paid employees of school districts are disqualified from serving as members of county boards of election commissioners in matters concerning school elections held in their county.

A disqualified county board member must notify the county party chair within 60 days before the school election (or the state party chair if the disqualified member is the county chair).

The affected party's county committee chair appoints a qualified replacement for the disqualified member, or the state party chair appoints a replacement if the county chair is disqualified.

Poll workers at school elections cannot be paid employees of the school district holding the election.

County boards of election commissioners appoint one election judge, one election sheriff, and necessary election clerks for each polling site.
