SB 358 Summary

• Repeals Arkansas Code § 6-12-317 concerning county boards of education, which no longer exist as of July 1, 2005

• Removes obsolete references to discontinued programs including the College Preparatory Enrichment Program (CPEP), the Arkansas Leadership Academy School Support Program, and the Public School Nurse Facility and Equipment Grant Pilot Program

• Repeals the entire Arkansas High Technology Training Center (Chapter 46) because the center no longer exists

• Corrects technical references and definitions in education statutes regarding emergency medical services personnel, scholarship programs, and teacher licensure requirements

• Removes obsolete court name references (police court) from unexcused absence penalty provisions and clarifies that two advanced placement programs are included in the advanced placement program definition
