SB 418 Summary

• Appropriates $3,500,000 from the Development and Enhancement Fund for maintenance, renovation, equipping, construction, acquisition, improvement, upgrade, and repair of State Crime Laboratory real property and facilities

• Appropriates $4,700,000 from the Development and Enhancement Fund for constructing and equipping a forensic laboratory in Northwest Arkansas

• Permits the State Crime Laboratory to accept and use grants, donations, Federal funds, and unobligated cash income to supplement State Treasury funds for project financing

• Requires compliance with State Purchasing Law, General Accounting and Budgetary Procedures Law, Revenue Stabilization Law, and all applicable fiscal control laws in disbursement of funds

• Effective July 1, 2019, with emergency clause declaring the appropriations essential to agency operations
