Senate Bill 425 Summary

• Appropriates $500,000 from the Development and Enhancement Fund for major maintenance, renovation, repair, or construction to provide contingency funding for capital projects.

• Appropriates $25,000,000 from the Development and Enhancement Fund for State Motor Vehicle Acquisition.

• Appropriates $50,000,000 from the Development and Enhancement Fund for information technology enhancement, innovation, operation, equipping, consolidation, construction, repair, expansion, and upgrade of existing technology systems as well as development and implementation of new technology projects.

• Requires all disbursements to comply with state purchasing law, accounting procedures, revenue stabilization law, and other applicable fiscal control laws unless specifically exempted by law.

• Makes the act effective July 1, 2019 as an emergency measure necessary for continued operation of state agencies.
