Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission authorized to promulgate rules regarding labeling of livestock and poultry products edible by humans

Both agencies may receive and investigate complaints regarding alleged violations of their respective labeling rules

Civil penalties up to $1,000 per violation may be assessed for non-compliance with labeling rules, with collected penalties deposited into the Plant Board Fund or Livestock and Poultry Special Revenue Fund

Legislative intent is to protect consumers from misleading and false labeling of agricultural products edible by humans
