Arkansas General Assembly ratifies the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, providing that equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of sex.

The amendment includes congressional power to enforce its provisions through appropriate legislation and takes effect two years after ratification.

Arkansas Secretary of State shall notify the Archivist of the United States of the state's ratification action pursuant to 1 U.S.C. 106b and 112.

Secretary of State shall send copies of the resolution to both Arkansas U.S. Senators, all four Arkansas U.S. Representatives, the U.S. Vice President, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives with a request for publication in the Congressional Record.
