Senate resolution recognizes Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., founded November 17, 1911, at Howard University as the first international African American fraternity at a historically black college.

Fraternity's cardinal principles include manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift, requiring members to demonstrate moral excellence, educational achievement, brotherhood, and community service.

Omega Psi Phi operates over 700 chapters across the United States, Bahamas, Bermuda, Virgin Islands, Korea, Japan, Liberia, Germany, and Kuwait, with 20 chapters in Arkansas.

Fraternity contributes at least $50,000 annually to the United Negro College Fund and participates in charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, American Diabetes Association, and American Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation.

Senate acknowledges and commends the fraternity's members for outstanding service and leadership in Arkansas and worldwide, with a copy to be provided to the national headquarters.
