SB 31 Summary

• Appropriates $8,379,967 from state operations funds and $26,730,000 from cash funds to Arkansas State University - Newport for fiscal year 2020-2021, totaling $35,109,967

• Authorizes a maximum of 341 regular employees including administrative, academic, and classified positions with specified salary ranges; the Chancellor position is set at $169,651 and faculty positions range from $70,790 to $97,396

• Permits up to 60 additional temporary or part-time employees ("Extra Help") funded at $150,000 from state operations and $300,000 from cash funds

• Allocates funds for regular salaries ($5,543,729 state/$5,700,000 cash), personal services matching, maintenance and general operations, capital improvements ($8,740,000), and debt service ($1,250,000)
