AR HB1041

Amends Arkansas Code § 26-18-705(b) to authorize the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration to waive or remit certificate of indebtedness filing fees in addition to existing authority to waive interest and penalties.

Allows waiver of filing fees, or any portion thereof, when a taxpayer's failure to pay state taxes within the statutory period is satisfactorily explained to the secretary.

Permits waiver of filing fees when the failure to pay results from a taxpayer's mistake regarding either the law or facts subjecting them to the tax.

Allows waiver of filing fees when the inability to pay interest or penalties results from the taxpayer's insolvency or bankruptcy.
