AR HB1204

Amends Arkansas Code § 16-40-106(a)(2) to redefine "certified peer support member" for purposes of privileged communications with emergency responders.

Expands the definition from only law enforcement officers, firefighters, or emergency medical technicians to any individual who has received approved training in critical incident stress management.

Requires certification by the Arkansas Crisis Response Team, the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, or the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board.

Allows certified peer support members to provide emotional or moral support to emergency responders dealing with job-related stress or incidents occurring in their official capacity.
