AR HB1205

Reduces the required waiting period for retired members of the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System to return to employment from 180 days to 90 days.

Requires retirants returning to employment to waive their right to any benefit accrual, including benefits provided under § 24-10-607.

Allows retirants to return to employment either with a different covered employer or in an entry-level position with their original covered employer.

Exempts positions appointed by a mayor, city manager, or city administrator from the entry-level position requirement.

Permits retirants who retired before January 1, 2020 (the effective date of Acts 2019, No. 988) to return to employment under these provisions.
