Each Court of Appeals judge shall have one administrative assistant and two (2) law clerks selected by the judge personally, replacing the previous requirement of one secretary and one law clerk.

Court of Appeals law clerks shall receive the same salaries and grade classification as Supreme Court law clerks, unless the General Assembly approves a pay grade change for either court's law clerks.

Either the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals must provide timely written notice to the other court before requesting a pay grade change for its law clerks to the General Assembly.

Any variation or amendment to the established pay grade of law clerks employed by either court on or after the effective date must be accomplished through the General Assembly's budgetary and appropriation process.
