Amends the definition of "direct supervision" to allow athletic trainers to practice under supervision by either a physical therapist or physician who must be readily available for consultation but not necessarily on the premises.

Adds "clinical setting" definition meaning a hospital or outpatient clinic where athletic trainers may practice.

Defines "direction" as supervision in a nonclinical setting by a physician who is readily available for consultation but not necessarily on the premises.

Authorizes athletic trainers to practice in nonclinical settings under direction of an Arkansas State Medical Board licensed physician.

Permits athletic trainers to practice in hospitals or outpatient clinics under direct supervision of a physical therapist and upon referral of a physician licensed in Arkansas or by the board.
