AR HB1283

Increases the Arkansas Public Employees' Retirement System Board of Trustees from 9 to 12 total members by adding 4 new retired member positions.

Requires each appointed trustee to have at least 5 continuous years of service with a public employer and be a system member, with no more than one retired member from each category of state and nonstate employees.

Mandates the three nonstate employee trustees include at least one currently elected county judge and at least one mayor.

Creates four retired member positions appointed by: the Arkansas State Employees' Association, the Association of Arkansas Counties, the Arkansas Municipal League, and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House (for a retired certified law enforcement officer from a nonmanagerial position).
