AR HB1378

Authorizes occupational or professional licensing entities in Arkansas to grant licenses to migrants from the Compact of Free Association islands who meet all other practice requirements for their occupation or profession.

Defines "occupational or professional license" as any license, certificate, registration, permit, or other authorization required by law or rule to engage in a particular occupation or profession.

Designates the law as a state law under 8 U.S.C. § 1621(d), as existing on January 1, 2021.

Requires all occupational or professional licensing entities to promulgate rules necessary to implement the act and file final rules with the Secretary of State by January 1, 2022, or as soon as practicable after Legislative Council approval under § 10-3-309.
