AR HB1406

Increases the limit of additional special license plates eligible persons can obtain from two (2) to three (3) plates under Arkansas Code § 27-24-206.

Requires additional special license plates beyond the first to be issued only for personal-use vehicles as defined under § 27-14-612 and upon payment of the motor vehicle registration and licensing fee under § 27-14-601.

Allows eligible applicants for Pearl Harbor Survivor, Medal of Honor Recipient, Disabled Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient, and retired United States Armed Forces member plates to obtain one additional plate for up to $1.00 and up to two more additional plates under standard registration fees.

Permits ex-prisoner of war special license plate holders to obtain one additional plate at no charge, with no fee charged for issuance and renewal of the ex-prisoner of war plate itself.

Authorizes eligible applicants to elect a standard Arkansas license plate instead of a military or veteran special license plate upon payment of $1.00.
